 Cantonment Board Nainital is maintaining its own independent water supply scheme, for the entire Cantt. Spring water is collected into reservoir and is pumped into storage tanks for distribution. The capacity of the reservoir is one lac litres.
Cantt board Nainital is also suppling water to local Military authorities through MES. Cantt Board is entrusted with the responsibility of supplying wholesome water to the residents of the Cantonment.
Water is supplied for 4 1/2 hours in morning and 3 1/2 hours in the evening to civil Population. The per capita water supply is 140 liter per day .
The Board installed a pump of 40 H.P in the year 2005-06. In the year 2007-2008 two pumps of 20 H.P and another of 30 H.P were replaced in the Pumps House. Presently there are six tanks for water storage. One tank of 2500 lit. water capacity was renovated during the year 2005-06. Pump House Water Reservoir One with 1 lac liters capacity and Water Spring Capacity 25Lac liter per day.
